Patrice Valentine is a tax strategist, financial educator, and the founder of 1028 Wealth Management Associates LLC — a firm built on the belief that financial clarity is a form of freedom.

With a background spanning tax preparation, high-net-worth advisory, business credit, and LLC formation, Patrice built 1028 WMA as a full-service financial home — for clients and for the tax professionals she trains and leads.

She is also the creator of the TaxPro Hub: a membership community and curriculum system designed to take tax professionals from competent to strategic. Her teaching style is direct, structured, and built for people who are serious about building a real practice — not just a side hustle.

Currently pursuing her theology degree while running an active firm and leading a growing team, Patrice understands what it means to build with purpose in the middle of a full life. That's exactly the kind of leader she is for her team.

  • Recruit must be approved, contracted, and complete their first paid return
  • Not available on Tier 3 independent placements

Why don't you share the compensation structure publicly or in DMs?

We operate in a competitive industry where structure gets copied. Sharing terms publicly or in DMs exposes our team members and our program to competitors. Our structure is disclosed in full — but only after a fit call confirms you're a genuine candidate. This protects everyone, including you.
Do I need to have an EFIN to join?

Your EFIN posture is part of what we discuss during the application stage. Different tiers have different requirements and we'll walk you through exactly what applies to your situation. Book the fit call and we'll determine what you need from there.
Can I bring my existing team with me?

Yes — and this is actually one of the most compelling reasons high-volume operators join us. If you bring your team, your team's production can generate referral override income for you. We'll map this out on your fit call.
What software do you use and will I have to change?

1028 WMA uses TaxSlayer and OLT. Depending on your tier and path, software may be covered as part of your placement. We don't ask you to change mid-season — onboarding is planned around your timing.
What does "founding team" mean and how do I know if I qualify?

Founding team status applies to members who have been part of 1028 WMA since the early build of the program. It comes with immediate referral override eligibility regardless of return count. If you're new to 1028 WMA, standard referral eligibility still applies once you complete your first 25 returns.
How long does the onboarding process take?

From fit call to active team member is typically 5–10 business days depending on application completeness and contract execution. If you're mid-season and need to transition fast, mention that on your fit call and we'll prioritize accordingly.
What if I reach out and I'm not a good fit?

We'll tell you honestly and respectfully. Not every preparer is in the right place for what we offer — and that's okay. We'd rather have the right team than a large one. If timing or fit isn't right, we'll say so and leave the door open for when it is.
